EBC Brake Pads Warranty Service SUCKS!

Ok, this has been an ongoing problem and I am sick and tired of it. EBC SUCKS! I don't give a rats (fanny) if I piss anyone off here that likes their brake pads. Maybe EBC will see this thread!

Brake Growl

That is the previous forum of my problem. Notice the shim movement in the pic.

I have called them twice for replacement shims. Also emailed them 3 or four times. They keep saying that they would send them. Nothing, it's been since last year I expressed my problems.

So that off my chest...... What do you guys think I should do?

Replace EBC crap pads?
Replace EBC crap shims?
Repalce with Nissan OEM?
Replace with Raybestos or other?

With what? Need some advice on what people are running for pads. I wouldn't even mind going with OEM.

Just Take The Shims Off, Not All Pads Use Shims, And Since They Need. Take Em Off And Recoat Backing Plates To Minimize Noise After Theyre Off. I Have EBC pads ON the Race car, truck, and my wifes car and havent ever had any complaints or issues

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I don't know a whole lot about brakes, so I'm not sure what to recommend. I have had no problems with my EBC pads, so again, sorry to hear about your troubles.

Pretty much off topic here but. EBC Motorcycle brake pads suck too. Ive had 2 sets where the backing plates came loose from the pad. I ride mostly track days and I could really feel something was wrong with the first set. The shop replaced them under warranty....not EBC. I tried the second set and maybe the first set was just a fluke. Well not 2 sessions in to the new pads and they started the same weird feeling. Went back to the pits and removed the front pads and the right side backing plate fell off the pad.

I will never use them again.

Rant off!

Now I feel better after my hissy fit .

It's not so much that I hate the pads is that I don't want to do business with the company. I understand that pads may have a fluke here and there but the service after the sale is just as important as the sale. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and never wrote or said one nasty thing to the company.

I just want to let others know what I went through so they too can make a better decision about their brake pads.

If the EBC pads failed at some other part besides the shims I don't feel that their warranty department would really care. And that too me means a lot.

Besides I paid a pretty penny for those EBC pads (60$) I expect them to be better than billy bobs auto parts.

Not using EBC anymore

Used EBC's for a couple months and they suck. The pads cracked (in 2 different areas) and were showing uneven wear. The uneven wear may have been b/c of a faulty caliper, but pads should not have cracked.

Replaced with Akebonos...we'll see how that goes
