Door speakers

Does anyone know if you can just pop off the speaker grills on a 2003 Frontier? Hate to mess them up trying if panel removal is required first.

Pop the armrest piece off to get access to some screws, take the power window controls off, remove the screw under there, pop off the door handle trim ring, and pop out the plastic piece beside the mirror. Easy as that

With a little practice you should be able to remove it in about a minute.

Managed to get it done. Three screws and a few clips but not problem. Found out they had shimmed my speakers out with some wood molding and wrapped the speaker wire around the terminal instead of soldering or installing push on terminals. Must have been a hurry up job. Anyway now both speakers work and no more rattles.

How do you take off the window handle if you have manual windows? I tried pulling on it pretty hard, but I was afraid to snap it or have it bend.

I'm trying to replace my front windows. That's the only thing holding me back....Everything else is pretty much screws and pop pins.

What kind of aftermarket speakers are you all running in the doors? I added 2 12's and now the stock speakers are not able to keep balanced with the bass. Any suggestions?
