Dohc

I was trolling on Zdriver.com and came across some threads.

Some people over there believe you can swap VG30DE heads for the VG33E ones, but they believe there is a water passage problem, but it could be changed to work.

Does anyone know anything about that? If this will work, this will be great for my engine build...mmm imagine a VG34DE

i honestly have no idea, but i would speculate that the change from SOHC to DOHC would not be an easy one

a few honda guys i seen on the net did a DOHC swap on there d series single cam engine, plus i see them do ls vtec swaps all the time along with a b18 block and b16 head hybrid, i think with a little work and an ecu from a 300zx (i assume) and some dyno time i think it could work.

They make a DOHC D-series NissanTy. Its a bastard engine from japan. Forget the engine code for it, its a d16ZC I think

i actaully use to be into hondas, and the ls (b18b) is already dohc so putting the vtec b16 head on is no prob with the conversion kit, i use to have a built turbo jdm d16zc, one guy actually put the dohc d16 head on a sohc d16 he had to do a good amount of work but it did run, but im sure you could put a dohc on i mean with the right amount of money and time anything can be done try VGPowered.com - Bridging the gap between VG enthusiasts - Home

yea i know some honda motors can make the swap, i just don't know about our truck motors... that's all i'm saying lol
