My KS went out on me at about 40,000 miles. I fact I think that it might have went out on me again after reading this thread I am usually getting about 15 mpg and now I am getting about 13 now

thanks guys, i'll have to stop by autozone sometime and see whats up, txfront you already had your KS replaced once? josh thanks for the post there is no need for a new one if it might go out again in the future.

wow 5 bucks thats it? better than a new one every 10k miles lol, not real sure what a KS does, also i don't like the fact that the gas doors on our trucks don't lock or they aren't "poppible" from in the cab, it would be real easy for someone to rip you off in fuel.

go to walmart and get a locking gas cap, cheap and easy way to make sure it's staying in there

Yes sir I am not saying that this is my problem I think it might be the 70lbs of skids I just added to the truck. It is just something that I am going to look into.

I would check you normal maintenence issues like airfilter, tire pressure, and ol change that could be robbing you of pressious gas mileage, but still 1/4 tank for 25 miles that crazy

wow thanks guys, some of the info i got from you helped me out, guess i'll have to make a trip to autozone to make sure i don't have a KS code, and i'll have to check all my tire pressures and so forth.
