could there be something wrong?

so today i went down to my sister's house about 30 min. away i dunno maybe 20-25 miles round trip and my truck burned 1/4 tank of gas, last night i went and i topped my tank with gas as much as i could then drove home and parked it, didn't drive it today until i picked my g/f up and went down there, just came home tonight and my truck burned up a 1/4 tank of gas, i know these trucks aren't that great but this is just insane, could there be something wrong or is it just normal? BTW i drove normal no floorboarding it or anything, i love my truck but im not loving the v8 gas milage its getting with a low powered v6.

you should be using about half that much, when was the last time you did the regular stuff like oil change, check air pressure, clean air filter ect.

1/4 tank in 20-25 miles does sound excessive. check your tire pressure, get a new air filter and clean the mass air flow sensor. maybe also try a fuel treatment.

are you actually burning 1/4 tank of gas, or looking at the gas gauge? And yes, when did you think that a 1st gen was going to get good gas mileage. They just dont...

Get some MAF cleaner at autozone or whatever and clean that but DO NOT TOUCH THE SENSOR. Clean or get a new air filter and run seafoam or something like that through your fuel system and see i that helps. If not then get the gauge looked at.

Seems very odd burning that much all of a sudden. All I can think of is to fill up again and see how much you actually used.

Fill up and see how many miles you get per tank.
