Changed the spark plugs today..

..and it SUCKED. If I can suggest one thing, it's to take the intake hose off of the back of the intake where it runs through the firewall (I guess it's leading to the heater? Not sure..) and pop the brake line things off so that you can get the 12 inches worh of ratchet you're going to need to get the back plug out. It took me 20 minutes to do the first 4 and about 3 hours to do the last 2.

Glad I don't have to do that again for another 100k miles...

Make sure you have a 5/8 sparkplug socket. AND MAKE SURE YOU TAPE ALL OF YOUR EXTENSIONS TOGETHER. I dropped my socket down behing the engine and that took about 20 minutes to get out. I used a vaccum hose to install the other 5. But changing the 6th one is totally in the dark. There is no way to see the plug or the hole, or even the wire..

I wouldn't have paid anyone to do mine, it was worth the trouble. It's a one time thing basically..just suck it up and do it.

I need to find a cheap carrier bearing for my truck. Any suggestions? They're 280 bucks at the dealership.

Invest in either a speed wrench or a long t handle. Made my plug change easy peasy.

It wasn't the ratchet that made things hard really, it was the angle of the last two and the fact that I couldn't see them at all..but I could see where a T-handle might be easier than a conventional socket..but you'd still need the U-joint for that back one..I didn't think it was possible. It was funny because I looked at dad and said.."I don't know what to do..I don't think I can get it (after probably 30 minutes of trying) and as I was saying that..I was pulling the socket out and the plug was in the socket so I was like..
