Thanks for all the input everyone, I went with the Rancho RS5000's got em for a pretty good deal, 100 bucks for the rear shox with boots. I tried to get some pics last night for my avatar but light was getting bad, tonight I should have some up. Thanks again.

Yeah jojo thats exactly what happened to mine but on the drivers side rear.

How many of you all actually use the boots on the shocks? I used to, but they just seemed to trap a lot of dirt and mud in there. I don't use them any more.

you should check your leafsprings out if it still rides bad, i broke the shock off and cracked the main leaf, i dont know if one caused the other but it could have ended up messy

it's your call. you could just check after offroading and clean them well.

i removed mine because they got so full of mud and dirt after every trip. i figured trapping all that materials against the shock had to be bad for it and thus removed mine.

Thanks for the advice, I'll check 'em out before I leave work. I wonder how much it would cost to replace them with heavy duty leaf springs?

I've been running "bootless" since day 1. Keeps the shock shafts from pitting as easily and the crud has more of an opportunity to clean off the seals.
