Bed/Cab alignment

I just bought a used 03 CC LB XE and I noticed that the edge of the cab where it meets the edge of the bed is offset on the driver's side. If I look from the back left corner of the truck straight ahead to the front, I can see that the side of the bed is slightly in more at the edge where it meets the cab. The bed and the cab are not flush even. But the whole truck is straight, still original paint and doesn’t look there has been any accident. The previous owner also confirmed it. Is this a factory thing?Does any of you have this situation with yours?

well your never going to tell if its been in a wreck by looking at paint, and the previous owner could be a liar. you might be able to adjust it a little bit, if you have too take your bed off and drill out the holes a little bigger so the bolts can move around, and get some nice big washers, line it up and tighten it down good.

but my first guess is your truck isnt perfectly straight.

it is not hard at all to straighten that bed out. could have been a number of things that caused it, but it should not be hard to fix if it hasn't been wrecked.

there are 4 bolts that connect the bed of the truck to the frame. loosen em up, push on the truck bed to position it properly and re-tourque the bolts. i know it sounds overly simple, but thats just how easy it is.

i had to unbolt and move and tighten the bed and the cab when i did the body lift. i used tape on the side of the cab running back onto the bed to establish and keep my lines.

if the bumper is also out of line, do the same thing.

good luck!
