annoying bumper clips

does anybody know how to remove the clips that hold down the front bumper fenders and tailgate liner on a 2002 frontier xe. Do they have to be broken? if nohow do you remove them? If not wat do you replace them with

The cover should pop off. I think you pull them off after. I know that you can get new ones from the dealer for a couple of bucks. The tailgate liner I have not figured out yet.

yeah.. should pop out after the cover is taken off... but if you break them I believe they were like $.25each at the dealer... carefull when you go to getnew ones... there are two designs.. one has little inserts that you may or may not need...

i broke a couple, so i zip tied them, kinda ghetto but it worked

yeah.. my front bumper is all getto rigged.. lol zip ties and all.. I have a hole in my front license plate(was there when I bought the truck) looks like he hit a tree or something.. but it didnt even touch the core support... wierd...

Just rip the snaps off... buy new ones.. your looking at less than $3.00 where trying to not break them will cost you time and more beer...

but these clip things have to be removed to remove the bumper correct? also what do i have to do if i want my bumper and fenders to match the body color do i need to get a different type bumper

have them painted??? remove the caps on the lower part of the fender flairs.. pry the push in clips out(or break them off) lift your hood unscrew the retainers, go under the truck and remove the rest of them.. remove the skin....
