Air intake sensor?

Im going to be doing an air box mod soon. I need to figure out what to do about the sensor just before the air box ((meetering the incoming air before it even gets to the filter?) can this be re-located or removed?
I didn't remember seeing anything that addressed that in the previous posts... Sorry if I just missed it.
Thanks for the help guys!

I removed ALL of the resonators, and relocated the intake temp sensor. Here's a couple of pics. And note, the 3" plug is too big for the front hole. It actually slightly cracked my intake box, and I had to use some Goop to seal the crack, and used a zip-tie to make sure it didn't crack any further.

I love it! Thanks! Oh and sorry man for not getting back to you on those wheel adaptors.. I never ended up getting new wheels and tires... If and when I get them I will look you up and see if you still have the adaptors...
BTW: Did you get any gains off doing your intake? Gas or power? Also, how does it sound?
Thanks again,
Nick

Hey no prob. If I go higher, I might end up putting them on my truck .

I'm sure there were some slight gains since the air is not indirectly going to noise filtering resonators any more. I originally did what most people do for the intake mod. I originally only removed the rear and fender resonators and my gas mileage did increase. But once I removed all three resonators and moved to one intake tube, I got even better gas mileage! I felt that one intake source would be better than two, just like aftermarket intakes.

I did the mod, I plugged the upper hole and the hole from the tube that runs parallel to the radiator. Took all of the baffels off and re-directed the intake tube inside the fender.. also ported the gril to direct more air in. I also cleaned out the MAF... Sounds good and seems to have more low end now. we will see about MPG gains because I just filled it up... Ill keep you posted. Question: The material inside the air box (I would assme it is for catching water???) Can I safely remove it? Is there any real reason to take it out? will it help? I ended up not needing to transplant the air temp sensor because I left both induction tubes open and ported into the fender.. Thanks allot man!
