The extra oil would lower motor temps too. (heavy towing , off roading)

A larger oil filter could add some capacity.

@handb94, where did you get the larger oil pan from? And I've seen at Walmart the little computer says there's two oil filters, ones for clearance issues. So do they make a longer one?

I read a thread about somebody nodding their pan to hold more oil, while I agree it doesn't improve lubrication over the stock setup, however with most things in life; the solution to pollution is dilution. Every time I call for 3.5 quarts at my shop the parts guys look over at my truck and also ask me to repeat how much oil to send Haha.

Here's the thread:
My '04 Build/Messin' with it Thread

You can't make it bigger if you're 4wd. There's a reason its so small.

Another member on here modified his hand and I bought it off of him. Is correct if you have 4 wheel drive it won't work as the extension will hit the front diff. Dilution is correct. It is easier to keep a 150 gallon fish tank than a 10 gallon fish tank.

It is thank you. If I ever get around to converting to 4wd I will pass it on to another member.

could add a bypass oil filter. Increases capacity and keeps the oil cleaner. Did this on mine, also relocated the oil filter so both the filters are up top. can be a bit of mess if you're not careful changing them though.
