2004 Frontier King Cab 4wd s/c

I just purchased a 2004 frontier king cab 4wd s/c and so far the truck has met my expectations. However, it seems as though it has developed the infamous nissan squeak. I have read most of the post for squeaks in the nissan forum and I have tried many of the posted fixes. As with most, the squeak occurs when I drive over a rough road or run over a series of road reflectors or turtle bumps. The sound seems to be coming from the front left side. I tried white lithium grease on the hood latch, rubber hood stops, I greased the body mount bushings ect. I can open the hood and rock the front of the truck side to side and the squeak is still there, so I don't think it is the hood latch or hood stops. The sound seems to be coming from somewhere behind the front light, i tried greasing the radiator bushings and every other bolt that I could see. Any ideas or is this something that I should get used to hearing!

Welcome!

Only thing that squeaks on mine is the bed, when I'm on rough roads... good luck though I'm sure someone on here has some advice.

Have you checked your brake calipers? The spring clips for the pads will tap against the caliper when I hit bumps in the road. Give your front tires a solid pound or kick and see if you hear it. I'll be putting new pads on soon, I hope that will fix it.

If the left front wheel is pointing straight ahead and I kick the tire it does not squeak. However, I had the wheels turned to the left and I kicked the left front tire and it made the squeak that I am familiar with. Please let me know when you get the breaks done if that corrected the squeak.

Thanks

New break pads went in today and I'm happy to say that the sound is gone! Whoever put the previous pads on didn't install them with the "shock plate" (dont know what its called) on the backside, so as they wore, there was some play back and forth on the pad.

i would have thought it was your hood latch, or a control arm bushing, I believe that is where my squeek is from, i usually get a squeek noise if I turn the wheels really sharply, if I go over a large bump with my left wheel, i'll get a squeek, and sometimes just driving i'll get a squeek. I've been told it's my CA bushings.
