Was talking to a bloke today at Pro Comp 4x4 and he told me that Tough Dog should have there suspension for sale by the end of January 2007.
Will cost a arm and a leg just like OME but still I can't wait!

Yes, Old Man Emu already have there suspension out for about the last month. I had Tough Dog shock's on a Patrol that I once owned and they where great.
Don't want to rush out and get shock's, I like to see what everyone has on offer before I buy.

Have been chasin around for suspension gear. Here is the update

Rancho (4wd1) Standard length front and rear replacement RS9000x shocks are available, no springs, complete kits or any lift kit and probably will not make them.

Dobinson 40mm front and rear springs available now. Front shocks 3 to 4 months away

Bistein - nothing for at least 12 months if at all

Lovells - nothing and nothing planned

ARB - mid October? 30 mm lift kit with replacement front shocks

TJM - 2 to 3 months away 30 - 40mm lift kit with replacement front shocks

Tough Dog - prototype fitted in vehicle - January 07 release

EFS - 40mm springs available now - front shocks 2 to 3 months away

Glad I am not in a hurry!

They'll give you a different answer every time you ask them mate.

Everyone is having trouble getting the front shocks.....they all import them from over sea's ( some are from the same factory) and are having problems with the supplier.
Even OME (ARB) cant promise they will have them this month.

So i just ring up every few weeks and get the same old crap.

Insidently OME and EFS source there springs from King Springs and the front shocks are coming from the same factory to.

Thanks for the update it will save me ringing them again for a few more weeks .

It all depends on your set up.........I have heavy duty springs on the rear because i carry a constant load of about 600kg and standard suspension didn't cope with that weight. On the front i have mid load springs with standard shocks and because I have the alloy v6 and standard bumper i am finding the front harder than i would like.
The ride i am getting is harder than standard but handles (less body roll when cornering) and brakes better.

Dobinson's have 3 types of set ups standard (very small lift about 10mm) mid duty and heavy duty (both of which will give you 40mm lift)

Remember there is a 50mm legal limit to a suspension lift and the suppliers sometimes under state the lift.

So if your satisfied with the standard set up ......keep it......you should get at least 80 000 clicks with normal driving. Standard gives you a nice comfy ride

More information on suspension is that Lovells do have prototype's and also RidePro but still have to confirm the last one.
