Is there a particular reason to use a Koni shock, or is that what they sell? Sounds simple enough for sure, just as long as the heat from the welding doesn't do anything it shouldn't!!!!
Is the ball joint in the TC UCA sealed at the top? They have probably figured out the wear factor, but it would be good to see either a boot or seal/scraper on there. Would really finish it off!
When is it all going on then???????? Pull the finger out Pete! Are you waitng for a decent strut, or will you try it with the standard strut?
Hi there Tommo, your are correct thats what they sell ,the welding is not a problem as the fabbed part is welded off of the shock and it remains removable. The ball joint is open on both sides but I don't think water could even get in there. As for the fitting I just have to take my truck to the dealer to replace the rear brake drums and wheel bearings (under warranty) then the kit goes on I just don't want to have to explain sht to them you know how some dealers can be. Oh forgot, will install with a new strut, it just takes a day or two to do the new mod.

As far as my reply to navara-au is concerend, what I mean is that by trying stuff out on your truck you don't do any damage, if a part does not seem to work how you thought it would you just take it off and bin it, lesson learned. Nav If you read this, sorry, not meant to sound aggressive.
Regards
Peter

You couldnt be agressive if you tried mate. I was just having a dig at you

I am really looking forward to seeing what it looks like after the install.

Thanks for the part No. for the rancho's because most parts people dont have any cataloges with D40 parts if you have a part No. it helps. I will like the No. for the front to when you get around to it.
Hope to go to Moreton Is as soon as the weather warms up.
