So you like the look of the GTO?--good for you. I don't. I said I liked the look of the Commodore, and I would agree with you that most American cars aren't that inspiring. Notice I didn't buy an American car, that's how we're able to correspond in this common forum. You're obviously not that interested in Holden, otherwise you wouldn't be here reading about, and talking about Nissans.

I dont think anything I said was cryptic. In the context of your comment that the GTO weak and plain looking, my post was accurate. My comment wasnt directed at you, but the american car industry as a whole.
And for the record, I dont like Holdens either, whatever they are GTO or Commodore.

not directed at me? Don't quote me. Don't like Holdens or American made cars? WTF was the point of your initial post? You're more confused than you let yourself know.

![]() 1) just because I quote something you say does not mean it is directed at you. 2) I never said I didn't like American cars. 3) I did say I don't like Holdens 4) The point of my original comment was to point out the irony of the comparison of the new Holden to the majority of cars that comes out of the American car industry. Maybe you should go and have a bit of a read about a part of the English language called "sarcasm". 5) I don't see anyone else complaining about what I said, but then I guess other people don't take things so personally like you obviously do. 6) Do I or anyone else in future need you permission before they quote on anything you say? And if you don't want anyone to comment, then you shouldn't be posting anything on here. In summary.... Build a bridge, and get over it! Moving right along.... Whats this "Linear Control Suspension" they talk about? I cant find any info on it.

Feel free to quote me, just be clear in your message. You use my comment and say "coming from someone" and then say it's not directed at me. This is why I said it was cryptic. If you're going to make a general comment on American car design, go ahead. I don't think I have anything to do with that so my particular comment isn't necessary to make your point. I've been over it, it's your denial of the meaning of your wording that gets me. Eh...who cares anyway. Nevermind stealing Holden's, this thread has been jacked...sorry. I'm done.

I must be ina different version of america then you folks, because I really like alot of the American cars right now. The saturn sky, mustang, camaro, ford edge, my 02 focus, the new vette, pretty much anything by saleen... And if I hadn't decided on a small truck, I would be driving an F-150. And like I said in an different post, I just bought my wife a new freestyle, and it has got to be one of the most inovative cars I have ever driven.
So I guess let me put it this way. I am ok with european cars, but this frontier is the only japanese car I have ever truely enjoyed. And my company sells Hondas, yotas, Scions, Subarus, Infinitis, Kias, Hyundais (both korean, I know), and last but not least Fords. So I get to drive alot of new stuff. |

In the Aussie market, American cars have never sold well. i.e. Mustang, Ford Probe, Ford Explorer, Crossfire, Taurus, 300C and others, but I guess some could also say the same about the GTO, DSM Diamante, Ford Capri (as it was called here) sold over there.
What I'm getting at is that American designs only really suite your market. Americans in general look for a more "in your face" style, where Aussie designs have a more subtle Euro/Asian influence. And because of that I feel they are more widely accepted world wide.

I would rather have the design of the Holdens instead of the crap we have here. But I think most Euro/Asian spec autos look better anyway.
