Paint Quailty

Hi All. Have bought a 06 RX Navara recently. Have done about 3000km. Haven't been on a dirt road yet but the paint work is showing quite a few paint chips low on the doors already. It doesn't seem right. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Talking

If they are "chips" it's a good chance something external has damaged it sometime. If the paint was bubbling or lifting then scream like hell 'cause there's a prob with the undercoat / prep work.
Is the paint over an area which has the stone chip coating applied before painting? That could be at fauly as well and will appear to chip as it flakes away.
Navara-au, driven down a few dirt roads? Are we talkin' "Broke Back Mountain" here??

Hey I am in Sunny QLD on the Fraser Coast. The chips are in main areas chips occur. Just wasn't expecting them so soon. Talked to a couple of Navara owners today and they have similar problems. Mainly because of the big flared guards. So I thinking of maybe getting some the clear stick on headlight protector just to cover a little more of the flare.

Here in the states, the FronT paint is also pretty crappy. I've got a little under 6000 miles and I already have four nice visible chips on the hood. I'm dreading to see what happens after the CO winter. Maybe I should have applied clear bra to the entire truck...

I guess this is due to the move towards enviromentally friendly paint.
