Would be great if the companies could get their stories straight! I spoke to TJM in Canberra today and they have told me they have front shocks but they will not be available till December. Sure hope they haven't taken your deposit and then leave you to wait!

Also spoke to EFS today and they are now saying end of the year at best. Looks like ARB got the run on the others.

Cheers

Got the phone call today from my TJM dealer to say that the front and rear springs and rear shocks are here. But the front shock will be about 1-2 weeks away.Thet will arrive next week sometime in the country before going out to the dealers. The front shock's are made in Brazil but I have forgotten the name of the company that makes them.

Glad to hear that Digger. I've got a day off tomorrow and I'm going up to Canberra tomorrow and will drop into the ARB outlet to discuss. Will get the rest of the kit through a local guy who deals with EFS. Then I just need some decent tyres .......

Just make sure the springs you get suit your truck if you have a steel bull bar and a diesel, you'll need heavy duty front springs (100kg +) or they will not give you much lift and sage pretty quickly.

Ye, I got the front springs to suit a steel winch bar with winch and also got 300kg rear springs, so should be o.k. Wish I could have got them sooner as I am going up to the High Country with the boy's for a bit of R & R this week end. Will be a good test for the Navara and the BFG mt's. I must say that with good rubber on the Navara it feels alot better in the handling.

Well I ended up getting the shocks in Canberra last Friday - will try to get the order placed with EFS this week so should have the upgrade pretty soon. Just got to find a bit of time to fit it to the car.

Like Digger have taken into account the extra weight of the diesel and the steel bar.

Well now as you all know I ordered new TJM suspension some time ago! The front springs and rear shocks and springs where at the dealer in no time and I was happy. Then they said that it would take 1-2 weeks for the front shocks (O.K). Then they said end of November (O.K)! Then at the end of November they said it would be 3 weeks ( NOT O.K)! Well after talking too the TJM dealer and letting him know just what I thought about TJM I made a phone call to Ulimate Suspension and placed an order for front struts and springs. I must say they have the best service. I place and order with them on Monday 4th and got them made and delivered to my door step on Tuesday 12th. I will still have the TJM rear shocks and leaf springs with the 50mm lift but will run the Ultimate suspensions front end with the 40mm lift. TJM will install the lot for $150 for f#$%*#* me around. Will have pic's when job is done!

Great! .....look forward to seeing the pics. You'll have to do a bit of bush bashing and let us know how it goes. Dont forget to check the brake hoses.

And dont loose your camera this time mate.

Are you near any of the bush fires ?.....Exposed to get bad again latter in the week.

G,day mate, no I am not near any of the bush fires but all the areas that I went 4WDing in a couple of weeks ago are now burnt out. When we get a north wind you can't see the city at all and it don't matter where you go the smoke is just every where like the fire was just up the road! The thing is that with our water running low and now these massive bush fires that are using up our water fast I dont know how long it will all last. So I don't think there will be much of a chance of losing my camera in the river this time! But anyway enough about fire and water I got one of those service manuals of e-bay not a bad buy for $26. Also looking at getting a dual battery set-up over Christmas before getting my winch next year some time, when I have time! I hope to be going 4wding when I get back from Sydney. Will take some pic's of the my Navara and maybe some of the burnt out areas when I get back.. cheers!

Well I finally got some time today to fit the new suspension. Same set up and Nav.au (EFS springs and rear shocksm ARB front shocks)

Took about 3 hours for me to fit using a mates workshop and tools. Only tricky bit was the rear brake lines as they are too short. A quick cut a reweld of the brackets solved that problem.

Specs are:
Rear wheel arch + 60
Front wheel arch +35
Tow bar + 75

May drop a bit as it hasn't had time to settle in. Looks like a 4 x 4 now rather than a 4 x 2. Just need to save up a get rid of the standard rubber and stick some decent tyres on it.

Will grab some photos and post soon (left the camera at work - sorry)

Cheers
