Australia

Just wondering how many other Aussies are about here.
And also how many of them went for the V6 or the deisel option.

G-day big bugga
Its just you me and rowdy from sydney so far but i am seeing a lot more navs on the road latelly ,as soon as the yoto drivers discover what there missing out on there will be more.
I optioned for the v6. i test drove both and loved the extra power of the v6 (reminded me of my my old xb v8 ute i had when i was 18.Must be going through a midlife crisis lol!)
The fuel ecconomy is s#!t ,was getting 18.5 ltrs /100ks when i was towing the caravan up north fully loaded ,but it has awsome power easilly overtaking those slow landcruiser diesels.(you got to like 265 hp!!)
i get about 15.5l/100k carring 500kg doing 90% city driving normally.
I also got the auto (getting soft in my old age) it works fine even when 4x4ing
have to help the gearbox stay in low gear when doing hill descents but it can be done.

Fosters is what we produce when we filter the real beer through our system first.

And have to agree, a lot more Navs about now here as well.
And thats not easy to do, town only has about 15000 people in it on a permanate basis.

So just the 3 of us for now, might have to fix that a bit.

Got the deisel myself, with the 6 speed manual.
Very happy with it too, and the power is pleasing, especially seeing as I got out of a Ford XR8 ute.
Havnt worked out my fuel usage properly yet, but around town I get about 600 to 650k's from a tank.
goes up about 50 to 60 k's on the highway, heaps of overtaking power for the long road trains up here as well,

Hi Bigbugga,

Im an Aussie living in South Africa does that count.
I go visit my relatives as often as i can in Sydney and Brisbane.

Been living in South Africa to long and trying to convince my wife that we go back.

I test drove the petrol and diesel models and opted for the diesel due to fuel economy not that I am to cheap to pay for fuel, its just that I need the range when going touring to places in other African ountries where filling stations are a bit further apart and in some cases do not have fuel. I must say though that I enjoyed the v6 its just so smooth and a buet of a noise.

Regards
Peter
