Hey Nav, sounds like the leafs are binding instead of sliding, so when it gets to a certain point the leaf moves under the stress and makes a noise. When you oil them it is moving freely. Just a guess.....

Yeah something like that its only on the wrap thingy. i can live with it if its just a matter of giving it a spray now and again.
Do the OME or Dobsen have the military wrap???
Just have to wait and see what yours does when it finally happens......june 2008

Are those the mud flaps that come stock down under? I like those better than the US factory ones.

I'm pretty sure US flaps are different. they have a more thicker ridge, which makes them less flexible. I always bend mine on the rocks when I come off them.

Hey peter sounds like alot of rooting around wouldnt it be better to wait till some struts come on the market? Spoke to the suspension bloke and he said when the new hiluxs came out he fabricated struts using prado's. Cost $400 each now he can get them for $135.

Hey tommo for the extra$$$ I cant see the advantage of the PRG's for an extra 16mm of lift (i used the measurements from coldfire's post)
Sure they would be better but if you go too high you will run into more problems alignments C.V jionts ect.. and i think you have to take them off to adjust them??

By the way for pure wank value its pretty cool to be the same height as the cruisers and patrols
Looks like you guys have this down to a science.

You can adjust the coilovers by removing the wheel and with the supplied wrench. It will be interesting to see how the CV joints hold out. At full droop they appear not to cause any binding. I hear a lot of talk about the CV joints, but I wonder if there is a way to tell? So far I haven't ran into any issues. I also have the advantage of living close to PRG, so I'm not too worried about it. Especially, since I like the ride so much.

I had a clunking going over bumps with AC lift caused by the shock topping out, but it seems that maybe there is varying degrees of this based on other peoples feedback. Mine seemed excessive.

I wonder why there is a big Australian group on this board and not other countries?

Hi coldfire
Yeah getting the right suspension set up for your own purpose is very important i have been wanting to get it right since i got the truck and you have obviously changed yours more than once to get it right.
I say they are topping out when you jack the front there is very little drop in the springs so the front shocks must be at there limit.
The suspension companies are finally releasing there front shocks whether they have more travel i dont know yet.
We are very jelious of your PRG coil overs but with the exchange rate and shipping i would have sell a kidney to get a pair

CV jionts??????? **** who knows i guess there must be a limit. How much extra travel are you getting ??

Do we smell or something ??????
I dont know why no other nations come down here and chat to us???
