Victoria on the rock. BTW - IMHO the Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 late 07 model is an AWESOME truck WOW. Lots of money but they will give you 0% financing for 5 years!! I damned near bought one but found my Frontier (only need the smaller truck and love Nissan products) at an unbelieveable deal in the US. Importing vehicles is NOT difficult and you can save a ton-o-money right now with the dollars at par!

How's the wheelin' up in Squamish area?

All I've ever really done around here is up on Eagle Mtn, out in Coquitlam. Looking for other places...

Oh. And I live on the Burnaby/Vancouver border (literally. ON Boundary St.) and to go SFU.

Welcome to the Club dhmachine86.
Wheeling is generally good in the Squamish area and north of Whistler, see pics on this forum in the BCGTG pics and on this thread.
Two books are recommended;
The Four wheeler's companion by Mark Bostwick
Backroad Mapbook, Vancouver coast and mountains by Mussio Ventures.
The Backroad mapbook can be obtained at any coast Mountain sports location, like in Coquitlam centre, next to Future Shop, or you can get the digital version online from Mussio Ventures.
Sorry about the slow answer to your post, most of us are busy with holiday preparations and such, but Wheeling season starts soon. Keep checking here for wheeling dates and times in 2008.

Third book;
Exploring the backwoods of BC, Volume 1 southwestern BC, Squamish to lillooet.
Available from North Shore Off Road, on their website as a digital book, pretty cool, includes GPS Waypoints. $22.97.

Is there anywhere local, as in very local (30 minutes or less) to the surrey/langley area to do a bit of light wheeling that anybody knows of? Want to try out my new tires/suspension...

gang, checkin in here from North Vancouver

My Nissan is an 07 Frontier XE ... got rid of a gas hog Silverado.
I think I have a much better vehicle now.

No wheelin for me, pretty much all highway driving.

well Junuary is about done and I am hoping for Summer to start real soon.
