Thanks for the replies. I guess if stock is low then the chances of getting a decent discount is low too ?

Also out of curiosity, how good is Nissan at giving decent discounts ? Ive heard Toyota is almost impossible.

you are right I went to toyota and no deal!...price is price....nissan was willing to deal a bit...managed about 1K off and got a good price for my trade....I was very pleased all in all.

I used www.carcostcanada.com and picked my truck up for 3% over invoice - about as low as they will go in Canada.

ya I used them before too...they sure lay it out for ya on real costs etc....good amo for when ya need to bargin....at least nissan will try...forget toyota!

when im closer to buying and have a list of trucks I want to test drive then i'll definetly join carcostcanada for sure.

Is it safe to assume that companies like ford and GM are more likely to bargain since they are not doing so well against the imports ?

ya the domestics will bargin...they go into shock when you present them with info from your carcost stuff....but god why would you want a domestic??

Oh, im just testing the waters. Id prefer an import but if I got a great deal on something like a Silverado or Avalanche id have to seriously consider it.

At moment my top choices are a Frontier or Tacoma. I'd have liked a Titan but I think pricewise, its just beyond my means at moment (although if the 08's come out soon I may get a deal on a 07).

I have dealt with richmond nissan for the past 6 years, my family has bought 3 cars from them, and serviced 5

they have always treated me well
