Anyone in NorCal Have a set of rims and tires I could borrow for a week?

Hello everyone. I am thinking of having my Nismo rims powder coated. The only problem is they will need them for about a week. I would be SO thankful if someone could hook me up. 05 +

Never mind looks like it will be easier just to paint them.

powdercoating is alot stronger. your best bet is to have a shop hold the truck for you untill they are finished

I have spare SE rims, also if you wheel you will chip your powdercoat ifyou paint them it's easer to just hit them again the spray can and you are good.

You guys are awesome! I thought that one of the advantages of powder coating was that they wont chip or scratch. hmm.... I need to do more research. I am heading down to Oakland on the 29th to pick up my lift kit, so I will need to make up my mind by then. This Frontier addiction is starting to take it's toll on my bank account..............

I assume your going to 4 wheel parts in Oakland on 12th street , right ? Anyway .....yeah it's gonna get more expensive once the lift is done, especially if your getting a 5" + lift, a regear in the pumpkins would be best with some arb's front/rear, lower crawl ratio t-case would be great ( without these mods you'll be straining the tranny, etc..., new tires ( 5 ) ( don't use your original as a spare , too small, potentially rip tranny, r&p's ) but haven't seen what they have for the fronti's, .......it's fun out wheeling up around Mumbo lake , gumboot, etc. in the Shasta -Trinity wilderness. 'cept I wheel in an old Yota, instead of my new Frontier.

anyway ......good luck with the buy !

i have a powder coated front bumper and skid, painted wheel and wheels have been fine, only damage is from a couple hits on rocks and i'm sorry but youll tearup powder coat just as easy. But higher initial cost, and higher to repair. for the wheels id paint, then you dont worry about damage cause youll be able to easily fix....so x2 with mustard

Yes I am going to 4wheel parts to pick up my lift. I have heard a few questionable things about them doing installs, so I think I will end up installing it myself at a friends shop down there. Where are you located? Sounds like you know the area pretty well.

Thanks, I will probably end up just painting them. It seems to make the most sense. I may stop by to pick up that "shiny new dime" for my vote
