Talking San Diego Offroading

Anybody know where to offroad in san diego county besides proctor valley off H st. which sucks now b/c everything is blocked off and helicopters roaming around to catch dirt mongers. I've heard that Otay Mesa has some locations but I don't know where and I can't find the areas by just googling.

Where do you guys go to get your local offroading fix??? Please share the wealth and lets go together!

I've been on a few fire roads in East County, nothing major. Firebreed and myself found a nice fire road from Ramona and made it all the way to the north side of El Cap, but got chased off by some drunk indians. lol It was on the El Cap Indian Reservation. Still a good time.

Corral Canyon off of the 8 is about an hour from the 8/5 freeway split is the closest legal place I know of. But it's more for dirt bikes and crawling. I used to go out to H street a lot but got kicked out by fish and game a few too many times. Other than the random fire/dirt roads ocotillo is the only place I know of, but it is SOOOOO worth the drive. I actually just got my truck all back together and everything worked out on the front end; it could stand to go through some testing!

chased by drunk indians? lol

I already know about johnson valley, octillo wells, the high desert etc.... but those places are like 1-3 hrs away from me!! I'm talking like WAY south more like TJ where the border is. Otay Mesa etc.. I recall running across a thread in titantalk where some guys went off roading there but can't find the thread anymore. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks man, looks like you've been 'lurking' around too much. Lets go to the desert!

You can go to Otay off the 905 buts it's about as legal as procter valley. Ocittillo is only 65 miles from my house in El Cajon so it's realy not that far.

That's a shame. Figured there weren't any legal spots here. el cajon is closer to octillo than it is from me, 65 miles aint that bad true. i'm more like 80 to 85 miles
