Southern Wisconsin?

Where the heck can I go off road in Southern WI? I'm not looking to join a club ar do anything too extreme, just some hills, mud, snow, etc. that I can do after work or on the weekends without having to go too far. I'm in Madison.

Yesterday and today I drove all over the place around looking for anything anywhere that I could have a little fun. Didn't find anything.

Everything is either posted or snowmobile trails or farmers fields. There were a lot of tempting places but I want to do it legally.

Thanks for any help!

Madison? I am there too. I couldn't even begin to think where anyplace would be. 20 years ago directly across from Farm and Fleet was excellent. It was nothing but trails and hills. Now it is all built. I would say find someone who has a jeep that is all covered in mud and ask him where he was playing.

My buddy grew up exactly where you're talking about. He and his brother rode their dirtbikes throughout that whole area. Times have definatly changed.

VeS206, thanks for the Google tip. You got any pointers on what to look for?
