colorado safety inspection

Well moving back home to Alaska wont be working out when I get out the Army in about a month so the family will be moving to Colorado and I was wondering how the inspections are there. In virginia where I am stationed you are required to have the exhaust extend past the cab of the truck. things like that thanks a bunch

Depends on where you live. I lived in Breckenridge for 5 years and Woodland Park for 3. I never had my car/truck inspected once. I think down in Denver, and COlorado SPrings and other large cities you may have inpsection, but in the mountains you won't

I have some friends living in Denver who are also into modding their vehicles. I've never heard any of them mention anything about inspections.

in Colorado Springs, there are no required inspections. as far as other areas, i believe denver still requires emissions, not sure about pueblo. but those are the 3 big citys.

when Colorado Springs had emissions, they never even inspected the rest of the vehicle. so you should be good!!!

in Colorado Springs there are none as of now. put it this way i've been running my frontier (bagged) without a muffler (havent built my exhaust), a full cali combo w/ L.E.D's and the cops pull over people speeding next to me instead of me. (knock on wood) if you have any type of custom car this is the place to be as far as laws.

There aren't any inspections for a vehicle that is less than 5 years old. After 5 years emissions and visual inspections are required. I think that goes for the whole state??
