I'm in Syracuse. Not too sure about where all the trail are but I know they're up there. A lot of it may be posted property though. When will you be moving? I'd hit up some trails w/ ya. There should be a bit of snow up there by now too.
there is a park up there I've never been. there are a bunch of class 6 roads, no maintenance that are nice rides. all the land I know to wheel up there is private and would kill 90% of the rigs on this forum.
I was born and raised outside of Rochester NY. Everywhere we rode was private land. Lots of farm country where I was. My first ride was a 77 International Scout II.
I go up to Lake Sacandaga bout 4 times a year. I have seen i think red might be blue first gen lifted and always covered in mud. We have waved to each other but never met up with him yet.
Iv'e seen trails but i dunno if they are state land or private property.
My hometown is 15 minutes from the Sacandaga. That's the southern end of the Adirondack State Park. There's lots to wheel in that park but you have to go looking for it as entrances change. Mostly fire roads, logging trails and stuff like that. The farther North you go the more there is, but like Irongrave said, you better have a helluva well built rig.
As for that lifted first gen... Chances are he's not going wheelin' exactly, he's goin' muddin'. The two are not interchangeable terms.
In in Indian lake and there are a couple decent plots of land her. If anyone wants to come up gimme a call 518 648 5338 and prolly leave a message for Shaun. I'm free almost every day since I'm waiting on college to start up in fall... (Im ex military and unemployment pays me good lol) hit me up, I wanna play
Syracuse here. I believe everything in New York is private. So make some good friends or look for back roads if you don't mind possibly getting into some trouble. Its unfortunate.
Anyone here know of any 1st gen crew cab fronty's being parted out? Or rolling chassis for parts? Looking for rear doors for a crew cab mainly, but for the right price ill buy the whole truck.
A bit of a revival but there is an off road park in Lyons NY. Whispering Pines i believe its called. I have never been but may check it out this summer. Supposed to be decent trails with mud and rocks.
I do!!! I'm in Syracuse and really would like to meet some fellow Nissan 4x4 owners that actually go 4 wheeling. I don't own a Frontier so I don't want to dirty up your forum with my 1991 WD21 Pathfinder. Add me on facebook if you're in the area. I'm looking for a local Nissan 4x4 club to join or start. Right now the only option in the area that I know of is CNYJeep. They have welcomed me but I refuse to put one of those stickers on my rig lmao.
I have a 2011 night armour pro 4x no decals and blacked out ?, offroad bumpers and sliders. Theres a silver 01 supercharged will same stuff in Corinth thats my old truck.
