Did you buy it thru Nissan or was it 3rd party?

Anyone else know if it is dealer specific?

In the city near where I live, there is a family that owns almost all the dealerships within a 100 mile radius. Its disgusting, because if you buy a car, you either buy from them or drive a couple hours to buy from someone else. And they simply don't care much, because they think that people will keep coming back regardless of how they're treated since there is almost nowhere else to go. Now I said that, to say this in answer to your question: I bought my truck from their used car dealership, which then handed over responsibility to their Nissan dealership. The extended warranty I purchased, assuming it was for my truck and could be transfered anywhere I wanted, was actually specific to the dealership. My bad for assuming. Don't be like me ;P

Still have the radiator issue facing me, but I keep a close eye on it. I need to go ahead and get a tranny cooler. I'm not interested in the bypass mod. Fortunately, when the timing chain was replaced the radiator was inspected and OK at the time.
So, when I bought my wife's Murano, I bought the extended warranty.
Are you sure you're not me?

In my case, my warranty saved me. Replaced the drivers window control unit, transmission, and two O2 sensors. But it didn't save me on the tensioners (over the extended warranty date) and the fuel sending unit (mine wasn't covered). I too have the flaking paint and radiator issue facing me as well...

And the factory extended warranty is covered at any Nissan dealer. I've never had my truck repaired at the dealer I bought it from.
