Tri-Cities Nissan / Johnson City, TN / Not Good

BEWARE!

Tri-Cities Nissan of Johnson City TN. This place is OK for buying but don't expect much from them after you sign the papers.

Long story...took my truck in for service on three warranty items on a tuesday, told them they could keep it till friday. I called on friday..."Yes sir all the work has been done and you can come on down and pick the truck up."

Once I got there I went to speak to the person at the service desk (a real putz). He told me all the work had been done and to go over to the cashier. The cashier brought up my name on the computer. Once she did that, she got a strange look on her face. She then said that my truck had not been serviced.

At this point I'm a little confused. Two people told me the work had been done. One person tells me the work had not been done. So I go to my truck to see if the items were fixed. Well hey, the items had not been fixed.

At this point my heads about to pop right of my shoulders. THREE DAYS! I might as well have taken my truck to Walmart and parked it in the parking lot for three days. (I would rather have in retrospect since these fools had the key to my ride. ) I go back to the service manager and ask him what the story is b/c the cashier tells me the work has not been done. He proceeds to tell me that they had to order a part for one of the items and it won't be in for a couple of weeks.

So now I just really feel like it's TKO time for this guy so I go straight to my truck instead and leave the lot.

On my way down the road I notice that the hood is bouncing up and down. Yeah that's right, it's not latched! So why is the hood of my truck not properly latched when none of the work has been done?

I pull a U-Turn right there and go to speak to whoever was in charge of the entire service dept. I tell him the story and he apologizes. He then wants to know what he can do in order to get to me bring my truck back for service in the future and I laugh. He offers me a free oil change. Well woo-freaking-hoo. A free oil change. I told him if I did bring it back then I didn't ever want to deal with whoever it was in charge of the service dept that day. He agreed that I would not have too.

So on my way home it really bothers me that my hood was unlatched and it made me think that I should go around and check for missing parts and to tighten all nuts and bolts, not a good feeling. I have never been back!

BEWARE!

Try going to East Tn Nissan in morristown. I bought my truck there and nothing but good things to say about them.

Thanks man , I'll check them out when its time for a new ride, I do all my own work these days.

I actually go out to the Greenville, TN dealer to get parts because they sell parts much cheaper than the Johnson City store. Sometimes when I need a part, I'll call Kingsport, Johnson City, and Greenville and all three will have a different price. Greeneville always cheapest and friendliest.
