South Point Nissan Austin, Ancira San Anton, Round Rock Nissan

When I was first looking to get a Frontier, I was obviously looking for the best price. First stop was Ancira Nissan in San Antonio - but since we lived near Austin we called up South Point Nissan on the way to make sure they couldn't beat the deal. Well, upon driving down to San Antonio, South Point Nissan said "turn around, we can beat that deal".. so we did. Went to S. Point Nissan. Test drove a crew cab Frontier, said he could do it for $18,750, signed tons of paper work for credit check etc etc etc... all was good. Then the manager walks over all fluttered and slams some piece of paper on the desk and said the Frontier they were trying to price match in San Antonio was a hail damaged truck. I said that they never told me it was hail damaged. He said the deal is off, they weren't going to give it to me for $18,750. I was growing angry since they told me to turn around and buy from them since they could beat it. I told them that THEY quoted me the $18,750... so they need to stick to their word. We kept arguing until he cussed at me... that's when I lost it and chucked up a big loogey on their front window.

Didn't buy from them.. In fact, I got one in Round Rock, Tx for $19,000 at Round Rock Nissan. They didn't yell or cuss at me either! Who'da thunk?

I bought my truck from Round Rock (Maxwell) Nissan. Got a good deal and they were relatively nice people to deal with.

I purchased my 06 LE CC 4x4 from Ancira in San Antonio. They were great in the grand scheme of buying a new truck....still had to haggle with them. Bottom line I got a good deal on my brand new truck and great customer service from all departments. If you are going to to by one from there, speak with a salesman by the name of Jason.

I think the sales and manager need to go back to customer service 101. I had a bad experience with Nissan as you all know. Really, they need to do something about it. As for my experience, I dont wanna see another sales person unless I have to.

Round Rock Nissan (Maxwell) seems to have a basic understanding of customer service unlike South Point. I refuse to go to South Point for service (even though they are about 30 minutes closer to me!) because of the experience I went through with them.

I don't care that much for South Point, but they did fix our LE bad wheel sensor problem the 1st try and did the brake TSB no questions asked. I don't know how their sales tactics are, but hell most of the stealerships suffer the same issues. I agree that what they did was out of line, and will consider their action in the next few months when I'm van hunting for our coming triplets. I was tossing around a Quest, but still don't know what way to go.

Good to hear Round Rock treated you better. Damn, we need a good Nissan dealer on the South side.

I would be sure to drive down to the South Point stealership and show them your new ride and their lost sale!

Enjoy your new Frontier!

@Volcano:

I was going to flaunt the lost sale... really I don't know why I didn't! It's been over a year since I bought my Frontier now though. I did email their office and tell them they lost a sale and singled out the outta line manager. Hopefully they chewed him out. Doubt it. :P

If you're getting a Quest and getting it from Round Rock, ask for a salesman named Dustin Kruger. He's a really laid back and nice guy to deal with. He didn't make me feel uptight or rushed when I was shopping for my truck.
