Saratoga Nissan First Service

I took my truck in for it first service yesterday. $33.95, the oil and filter is changed, they supposedly topped off all fluids and also gave the outside a nice wash job so that I picked up a nice shiny clean truck.

Two small oversights on their part:
a) they did not fill in the service record that is bundled with the owners manual (I have the receipt for the service though that has the mileage on it and all of what was done.) and also,
b) I don't think they topped off the windsheild washer fluid (which it says they are supposed to in the manual).

Should I go back and make a slight stink about the book not being filled out or just keep the receipts that they give me? I asked about it before I took the truck and the service guy said that it was filled out and all set but my doubts got the better of me last night and I was right, they didn't fill it out.

I personally wouldn't go back, but then again I don't take my truck to the dealer for service either. I would think if you go and talk to the same dude that said it was all done you might get a discount or a freebie next time in.
Both those items are real small items if you ask me. Washer fluid is what..?.. $1 a gallon? Filling in your service record? I have traded in many cars and never have they asked about the service record paperwork.
Just my 2 cents, but if you do go back in, I wouldn't mind hearing what they say (and what you get).
I'll be driving through Saratoga next week in the wifes van, not the Frontier, on our way north to P-burg. (assuming you are in Saratoga, NY that is)
Good luck.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the washer fluid, it's more the principle that I was supposed to get it and I didn't. As far as the book, I'll just keep the receipt for my records and let it go.

Yup, Saratoga NY.

Just fill in the record yourself. The receipt is just a supporting document to compliment the record. Buy some 303 Aerospace washer fluid tablets and make your own washer fluid. Some washer fluids are bad for your paint.

I agree with Zero Six. I wouldn't put up a fuss over that.

on a side note...or thread jack....where would I find the 303 Aerospace washer fluid tablets?

That probably comes from waxing your hood. I'm talking about some fluids that contain petroleum distillates are not good for automotive paint.
