Just so you know real ASE certified Master Tech here, the reason they told you you needed the 4 02 sensors with the cats is that there is a FACTORY TSB that states they need to be replaced with upgraded units when that code is thrown. the dealerships DO NOT write TSB's they come from the factory engineers. they are required to recommend that if there is a bulletin.....

I had all 4 of mine replaced on my 02 Max with 22,000 miles on the odometer. It was covered under warranty and they followed the TSB which instructed them to replace the O2 sensors and reprogram the ECM.

Yep and the only reason the original post got an 2000 estimate is because its out of warranty that is NOT the dealerships fault, they do not make the rules

I have bought 4 vehicles from Mossy Nissan in Oceanside in the last 4 years. I get great deals because the salesman and my father in law are good friends. I have been advised on more than one occasion to seek warranty repair service elsewhere.
THE DAY I picked up my X-terra, I had to have the roadside assistance come and pick it up. When they did the pre-delivery inspection they failed to notice the truck had no brake fluid. DAMN NEAR KILLED MYSELF.

JOHN117...where do you get your truck aligned? I am in San Marcos and am in need of a GOOD alignment shop. My truck is an 06 that is lifted 2.5". I am going to buy the camber bolts and attempt to install them myself since I wrenched most of the work on the truck already. Just need someone that knows what they are doing.

Mossy in Poway has talked me into two cars so far... the first one I traded in to get the second one, which I don't have any complaints about.

One of the other Mossys has my truck right now and I'm a little peeved... charging me less than an independent shop wanted to to replace my A/C compressor but I find it hard to believe it takes 5 days to get that part to the dealership. Anyone else have a better idea? I just think it's weird that I have ordered stuff from Japan before that's made it here in 4 but they can't get an A/C compressor from their distribution center that's probably only a couple states away at most in less than 5????

In general, regarding Mossy, I really really really hate high pressure sales and while the lot sales guys are super cool... I can't stand the financing and credit guys. They make you want to take everything they offer you just to shut them up...

It's unfortunate, but all the Mossy Nissan's only have a$$hats working for them. I have had nothing but trouble when attempting to deal with them. I bought my wifes car at mossy Toyota and have had nothing but good experiences. So when it came time to buy my truck, mossy was the first place I went. Unfortunately, two brothers own the mossy dealerships...one all the Toyota's and the other all the Nissan's. The one who owns Nissan is a money hungry douche who cuts corners wherever they can.

I won't go into my issues, but I can tell you that Mossy Nissan has some shady motherfu(kers.

Black Pearl, so you are saying that you recommend them? How do you really feel, be honest!

...sorry man, but this hit a sore spot with me. If you only knew 1/4 of the crud I have dealt with!

But on a side note; I would absolutely recommend Mossy Toyota; just not if you are buying a Tacoma. Apparently they have some type of solid gold undercoating or some sh!t that makes them impervious to any type of discounting.

Ok I don't normally complain like this... but does anyone think I have any recourse to ask for money off my repair since they can't seem to get my part to San Diego from Los Angeles? It's been five days now...

And they just told me it's still not here.

I mean, what if I was renting a car? What if I was missing work b/c I couldn't get here?

Luckily, I am having to do neither of those things... but I AM pissed...
