Maybe it wasn't even your truck!

Maybe this a dumb question, but why bring it to the dealer for an oil change? Last time I used a dealer, I had an appointment and it still took over an hour and half and then it cost me more than doing it myself or going to any number of oil change places.
The plate thing would really torque me off though.
I agree you should post some pics of your new mod though. What others mods they give out for free?

Really?? Do all dealerships do that??

Last time I was there they were taking a bunch of pictures of it too. I told the service writer that if they are going to keep using my truck for marketing they are going to have to start paying me, or at least actually fix sh!t when I bring it in.
Take it as a compliment man. They must really like your truck! Tell them to give you a loaner if they're gonna be keeping it that long. Take a Z for a day or something.

LoL... I actually contemplated that for a minute. Felt kinda stupid for even thinking it and not noticing the frames earlier.

The dealer's close to home, my barber, and a few stores. Most times I do it when I have to get a haircut anyway, gotta go shop for something nearby, or whenever it's dirty and I just don't feel like washing it myself . The plate thing just made me laugh out loud though (literally!).

Better than me, I bought a mini van years ago, (the then GF talked me into it and it left as soon as she did), from one dealer, but liked the service department of another. When I brought it in for the first service they changed it from their competitors to theirs and didn't say a thing. I then took them off and I went for a detail a few years later and they put them on again. Royal pain!
