I can't believe they finally fixed my fu(king tailgate!

Ok, so my truck has been to the dealer a total of 6 times to get my tailgate fixed; each time them keeping it for the entire day. What was wrong with it that it took 6 separate all day trips to the dealer; you ask?

...The male portion of the latch on the each side of bed had merely worn down; which caused the tailgate to be loose and rattle horribly.

Ok, so thats just a simple hex head bolt. Why six trips?

...Because they ordered the wrong part each time!

Hmm, but there are only 2 possible parts that one could have ordered?

...Yeah

/rant

So, they finally got in the correct part and my tailgate is better than new...Whoo Hoo!

On a side note; they had to order me a new airbag censor module

Seems like it would have been easier to get the part yourself and install it than to waste so many trips.

I wonder what 6 days worth of dealership time are worth to you? Sort of an expensive fix isn't it? Anyway, it's done! Don't you just love the dealers? Can you get away with 6 tries where you work? I doubt it.

Glad its finally done.
