Brasso Nissan - Calgary, AB
I thought I would pass along my less than stellar review of this supposed top notch and many award winning dealer.
I have had my Fronty for a year now, and while mechanically it has been great, I have had a few littler issues, that the way the dealer has handled it, makes them seem much more troublesome than they should have been. Right off the bat, the truck was delivered with only 3 of the 4 splash guards. Something I didn't notice right away since it was on the passenger side. It wasn't damaged or removed, as a quick look shows now previous evidence of one. Big deal right, have them put it on. It happens. Well since they are a good 30-40 minutes drive, I figured I would wait for my first service. When that came, I called, discussed the splash guard again, gave them time to get the part in. However, at the end of the day when I picked up my truck, no splash guard. Told me they only ordered it that day, I would have to come back. Waited, for the call. Never came. 2 weeks later, I called. They told me part came and was already sent back. Never contacted me. Wait again... few days later I drive back with an appointment and wait for the 30 minutes I was told it would take. An actual hour and fifteen minutes later waiting, it was finally done.... 1 lousy splash guard with appointment. They didn't even bother to clean the fender before installing the guard. Just right over the dirt. During my first service, I also noted that some small surface rust spots started on the interior of the fuel filler door and I wanted them touched up. There answer was to use undercoating to cover the rust. It may work, but not want I want on my new truck, even in a mostly hidden spot. Plus they missed some anyway. So for my next service appointment (oil and rotation) I mentioned how the drivers window switch plate was separating from the door. Likely a broken clip. They ordered it. Had to return for them to "install". Only partly fixed the issue, but the new plate's face has some picks/pits in the plastic. When I voiced how this supposed new part looked worse than my year old one, I was told "it doesn't get any better than that." When I said I would rather have my old one back, I was told " yeah well, sometimes it's like that" and he just walked away. At that point I whipped outta there and vowed never to return. Oh and one last thing... that tire rotation.. I was charged but never got it. I noticed the next day that the faint remains of a chalk mark on the driver rear tire, left over from a flat repair, was in the same spot. The tire never moved. Since it wasn't a mark I had left, I never checked it out when I picked up the truck. I only noticed by chance later. Nice rip off! So all in all, small little issues, but handled poorly, and so they won't get my purchase or service business ever again. The little things are really what matter in customer service. I have a letter into them, but have yet to hear a reply. And that's why it best just to do things yourself. Dealer's suck. Even award winning ones.

I have actually spoken with those guys just on 12 months ago on another issue with my sisters car. They were at first a little difficult to work with. However after some discussion with a manager they then became really easy to deal with.
Desk jockies quite often try to fob us off as they dont have time to care. However if you stick to your guns and request to speak to a manager then they sometimes will play the game.
