Nice deal, but no thanks...I'll take my vehicles with clean titles and carfaxes. Seen too many nightmares with "repaired" vehicles that had been totaled. Best of luck though!

Error on the side of caution using CarFax. A bud has turned in three claims on his Xterra to his insurance company. None of them show up on CarFax.

He was also looking at buying a different vehicle, ran a CarFax on it prior to speaking with the seller. It came up clean when he ran it, he contacted the seller and one of the first things the seller told him was that it had been in a severe accident but repaired by a dealer.

YMMV, be aware....

Cheers.

When I bought my truck I ran the Carfax myself (KNOWING that it had some wreck history)...

Carfax came back 1 owner / crystal clean / Carfax guarantee for a year

I figured I would take the chance and buy the truck...

A few weeks after I bought my truck I saw that the original owner posted on this website that he had a color matched A.R.E. hard tonneau for sale that he took off before trading in the truck. I drove down and we put it on, he also showed me where my truck was parked and exactly what damage happened to my truck when it was hit in the street in front of his house.

Wise words....wise words...of course we're happy though...we all have Nissans...haha
Honestly though....I've had this truck for about 4 months and I wouldn't take 50 grand for it...(well maybe, but only to buy 2 more..haha) It's been a great truck and I've had a lot of fun with it just messin' around with the suspension and getting mods ready for it....the truth be told, if I hadn't known the guy for so many years and he hadn't treated all the family right I probably wouldn't want a salvaged title either...but like I said we've owned over 10 cars from him...probably closer to 20, I've lost count..lol....I've just been really impressed with mine, especially the amount of power that 4.0 puts out....and like I said we all got a good deal cuz we all got Nissans...my dad hit a loaded down diesel on the rear tires that was across both lanes of the highway on like a 98 Nissan hardbody going over 50mph and he walked away from it...the front end was crushed in but the cab was fine...only the radio was knocked out..the way the truck was built saved his life....

I bet anything the guy is lying. You would have to have official documents from the insurance company about the full damage reported to them. I mean, you really can't trust anybody when it comes to this much money. Like everybody else said, mod the F out of her, and then hope for the best!
