39,614 and new tranny

so I got Band-Aid back from Ken Pollock Nissan about a week ago from getting the new tranny put in. Covered under warranty cause it started with a leaky radiator (coolant in tranny is bad. very bad). running great again!!! It ended up costing me about $180.00 for "extra labor due to modifications" or however they worded it. Gotta be one of the best dealerships around!!!

mine was an internal leak, so the coolant was getting into the transmission and it was shifting like crap. There was no external signs of the leak. after the new radiator i had to get the tranny flushed three more times before the dealership just said, ok, time for a new one.

Thanks for the info. MIne definitly leaks coolant somewhere. It doesn't shift poorly, but pretty much every time I drive I can smell coolant. How did they find that it was going inot the tranny? CHeck the tranny fluid?
