08 CC - good deal?
Hi,
New guy here. I just bought an 08 SE CrewCab, 4.0, value package, long bed, trailer hitch, bed extender. Paid 17,400 before tax and license. Did I do ok? I have a bit of negotiator's remorse because I didn't do all the research I normally do before I went in. Also, the dude said that it comes with limited slip differential, as an extra option. Is that true that not all have the LS diff.? Thanks.

none of them have a LSD diff.
ABLS is a traction control device that alot of people confuse with LSD

I think you did good for an SE CC.
ABLS is limited slip via brakes and not the Diff.

I told the guy that I've never seen an option for limited slip diffs. and I wasn't gonna pay for some vaporware so he changed the subject.
I should have explained in my post though, that we arrived at that price through the 2500 factory rebate... So I feel like I could have done better, or waited until the infamous september exodus. I never buy unless I'm getting a smokin deal, and I've done pretty well in the past, I just feel like I had an off day. In 04 I got a new XE 4cyl. king cab with the power package and bed liner for 14500. 250 a month with no money down. But this time I don't feel that I smoked em' like last time. If your happy, it was a great deal . ( You can check invoice @ edmonds.com if you really need to know.)
IMHO, $17K for a new CC truck of that quality and pedigree is pretty amazing when you think about it.

I paid 15k OTD for an 08 SE CC short bed, value package, hitch, and bed extender, 4x4.
~28,000 MSRP - 2500 rebate - 7000 trade in - 4500 (me haggling)  .I also get free car washes, state inspection, and rental for life (for any vehicle at my residence). They do the first and third oil change for free (whoopty doo?). I'm happy so far .Last edited by karrotx : 08-30-2008 at 06:45 AM.
