Here's the runaround I'm getting from EZDown regarding my attempted return of my damaged ezdown (the bracket bent after only 5 days of light use). I attempted to send this email, which was immediately sent back undeliverable.

I recently purchased an EZDown tailgate damper for my 2006 Nissan Frontier through a Group Buy with ClubFrontier.org. The product arrived quickly and installed easily, as expected. However, after only 5 days on the vehicle, the lower Tailgate Bracket (P# 000181) has bent. In that time, my truck did not receive heavy use, and the tailgate could not have opened/closed more than a dozen times. I am also not satisfied with the way the tailgate drops almost 30 degrees before the damper engages, and how it throws the alignment of my tailgate off. Quite simply, the product has not lived up to my expectations. I removed the product on November 13 to avoid damage to my tailgate hinge assembly.

I contacted Linda via phone on Wednesday, November 14, who informed me that your company was in the process of changing headquarters and assured me that I would receive a call back from Cindy before Monday, November 19. After receiving no return phone call, I attempted to contact someone again via phone, to no avail. There is no answer on the number still listed on your website, which is the same number I contacted Linda by initially (877-EZDOWN3).

At this point, I would like to know how to go about returning this product to you for a full refund. My initial order was placed through your direct online storefront on November 2. My original order number is yhst-xxxxxxxxxxx. I am not satisfied by the design of this product for my vehicle, and would like the situation rectified as quickly and smoothly as possible.

These guys are off the grid at the moment. No phone, no email, and no other way I know of to contact them. If you like the idea of this product, do yourself a favor and buy it from pepboys or somewhere like that so you dont have to go through the nonsense I'm going through.

I havent gotten/paid the bill for this yet, so I guess my next step is to contact my CC company...

In case anyone was wondering how my return is going with EZDown (see my previous posts in this thread) their phone has been disconnected, and emails either get returned or go unanswered. I have now put in a dispute claim with my CC company, since I can't get in touch with EZDown any other way. We'll see how that goes.

I called them yesterday and the service rep hung up on me when I asked for a tracking number. Not sure what I'm going to do just yet.

I wish I had paid closer attention to what was going on with you other guys that tried to order from them.

Update! Came in three days ago. Installed in about 15 minutes. Works pretty good. Neat fairly cheap mod.
