First, I have spent the last two months following a lot of members upgrades and reading all the stickies to try and come up with a suitable plan...i am at a loss and need some help.
I have a stock 2008 kc nismo 4x4 6 sp with 265/75/16 duratracs and a leer topper. I will never jump, huck or ride my truck in the dunes (being in canada), and I use it as a daily driver on highways (need my sway bar), tow a trailer, like my fuel mileage, and navigate tight mountain trails to go biking (t-swap may not work). I don't rock crawl, most being rutted logging roads and maybe some light off roading trails. I ideally wanna upgrade to a custom tube bumper but nothing heavy or winches. I will also be using my stock nismo wheels.
Front: Ideally lift 2-3 inches in the front to upgrade to 285/75/16 duratracs. I was looking at doing a lift coil/bil 5100 combo from nisstec or ome or if need be CO UCA upgrade, or upgrading my 4600 to a 5100 and setting the ride at 2'' lift with stock coils.
Rear: new leaf pack with airbags.
Now I am confused I have heard bad things about top out, harsh rebound, cv angles and my head is spinning. I do not want to go spacer route because of inherent flaws in the front and weight in the back. Please help me, I would like a comfortable road ride but if its harsher than stock but more capable on the trail i will make that sacrifice (to a point, im in the mountains 10% of the time). I have followed all pages of jeniorNV, and a few other members and I can't say enough of all the information you have presented and thank you. Also, I am in Canada so shipping and duties will make a big difference in price.
