Exactly. This is a prime example of why it pays off (quite quickly if you are into modding) to buy a set of wrenches, ratchets and sockets, a floor jack and some jack stands to do this stuff on your own. It requires some time, space and patience if you are new to working on vehicles, but not only do you save money, in the end there is a feeling of satisfaction and pride that comes along with finishing a job on your truck with your own 2 hands. Sure, you may bleed some, and curse more than a sailor, but it's totally worth it.

How much did this bilstein lift cost? Maybe I should have done this instead..

So I did check my invoice like one of you suggested and these M effers Ripped me off!!! I should have NEVER taken this to the dealership!! MAN THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!! How long should it take to do this lift?! I got quoted by one place 450 ish and 4 hrs. Nissan quoted me 3.5 hrs and a little over 5. I was like ok Nissan should know these better so I will pay the extra to get it done "right". These SOB's just installed the kit and didnt bother aligning it!!

This is on invoice. "Note: Additional time required for wheel alignment and to install camber bolts. (3.ohrs for camber bolts if not seized inside control arms plus wheel alignment) THIS IS ON TOP OF THE 3 hrs spent putting on kit! *Additional time would be needed for seized or broken bolts*"

I am seeing red right now! is this a 7-8 hr job or am I getting robbed?
The cost of the Bilstein 5100 shocks + strut assembly labor at a local 4X4 shop was $370 (Don't believe them when they say they know where the extra washer goes). Since I use my truck for work and can't have down time, I purchased a used strut set off the forum classified's for $50 and had them assembled. I also purchased the 5125 rears off the classified's for $100 including shipping. The Calmini shackles were about $75. I spent about 8 hours doing the install myself (I'm CHEAP).
Since I spend most of my offroading in fields and utility easements, this setup works well.

I'm glad I found this thread. I installed some Daystar 2" spacers about a year ago and never got around to getting an alignment done to fix the way bad camber. I'm about to get new tires, so I figured it's time to have the camber fixed. Glad I found this thread, because I know I'm going to need to put some adjustable camber bolts in. And I'm definitely gonna do this myself, because I KNOW the originals have to be rusted in BIG TIME (I live on the ocean, even plastic seems to rust here). I can't believe someone would charge more to get a difficult bolt out. Around here it's just an everyday thing (all hail the great anti-seize!). I don't want to pay for someone to get the old ones out (or just not bother to try when they see them). Can anyone recommend where I can find the best price on some adjustable camber bolts? I have a feeling this is going to be real fun, lots of sand in the face, deep breaths and cursing!

Nisstec, PRG and even Amazon have camber bolts. They should be about $50 for all 4.

Do a search, someone suggested MAP gas and candle wax to help get them out. I used Liquid Wrench and PB blaster on mine for about a week before I took them to the shop, but I'm about as from from salt water as you can get. I loosened one of them before I took it in and it was fine.

Thanks pedalb. I'll probably start the pb soakings tomorrow and just keep working at them till they break loose. After that I'll take it to the shop for an alignment. It will be some time before I get my new tires, so that leaves plenty of time for working them loose.

PB is pretty amazing stuff, but it sure stinks. Hope you have luck getting those suckers out of there...
