Well today I finally get to through the three 1x6 blocks of wood I've been carrying around into the trash! Since I now have an awesome set of sliders and NOAS fall run is around the corner, today I purchased the 48" Hi-Lift All-Cast Jack from Tractor Supply, and the jack mounting system. I've stolen this mounting idea from a couple other trucks on this board, but I've choosen a location that I don't beleive I've seen anyone else use.

Here is where I've choosen to mount it:

This location seems to get it up and out of the way better then any other location in my truck and seems to fit there really well. Here is a picture with the tonneau cover down.

very nice. thats exactly where I plan on putting mine (although, I dont have the cool tonneau so I'll either have to find a way to lock it in place or just not carry it all the time.

Junkyard jack from a Jeep Cherokee (84-01) and Grand Cherokee (93-98 ) ones like this are great under the axle tube/lower control arm. It's a screw type bottle jack and the long folding handle is nice. Nice not to have to unload the whole suspension to change a tire.

Ok, I have no sliders, and no decent bumpers to use a high-lift on...but I have about 5"-6" of lift (+ 35's) and about 9" of droop...WTF am I supposed to do?

A full size hydraulic jack with a 4" solid block doesn't even really get my front wheels off the ground (see avatar)...and in the dirt there is no chance. So, I carry around a few cans of fix-a-flat. Anyone have any ideas on what I can use?
