The "handles" I assume you are talking about by the front windshield are to protect the window from tree branches, they should hit that first instead of the windshield. And the headlight just have tint on them, I went the lazy route and tinted them instead of taking them apart. And the million dollar question is "will the speedo still work with the ford 9 inch?" and the answer is YES!!!!!!!!!!!
