^^^^^if you turn your vdc off then its off-you either are still feeling the abls slipping or you have a problem.

Whats slip?

At first i thought you meant limmited slip, you might be better served in say a tacoma from your sig. I had 1999 tacoma trd with 31s and that darn thing went places my jeep wrangler went. Went up step snow covered hill, new home being built in Park City Utah, sucker went all the way up 2 feet deep with the locker engaged! Only time i ever used it lol, most of my wheeling i used wrangler its simple and straight forward predictable.

It's an '07 with VDC switch on the dash, so I can turn it off. Even with it off the VDC kicks in. I think the tires are ok, but just happen to be a bad mix with the VDC. The shop checked for error codes and there were none. I'm tempted to slap on a set of used BFG's of the same size and see what happens.
Just curious, which shop? Was it a dealer with a Consult? If not may it may be worthwhile to have them take a look using the Consult and not a Generic Scan Tool (GST). I have seen some GSTs miss codes that the Consult finds on Nissans.

I'm not certain you have a problem from what you have described although some think you have a larger issue. If there are or are not any code(s) you seem to think it's the tires, but you are not the first with that tire combo. Again, makes sense to have it checked out. Do you actually feel & hear the system "kick in" or just see the SLIP light when the VDC is "off"?

Either way, I'd use MY warranty. Besides it would be cheaper to use your warranty than to service out and buy new/used and rebalance wheels & tires etc. Then again, you may be right. Let us know how it works out. Good Luck

His VDC or his ABLS. My ABLS kick in all the time on dirt. Stock sized tires. But I am slippin.

We really need to figure out a better ABS/ ABLS bypass. Come on guys work on it!! Pulling the fuse sucks!! or doing the fuse bypass. Turns off all of your functions. Speedo, trip computer, 4wd shifting cylindoid. I was playing with bypassing the fuse inside the ABS computer by putting a toggel on the fuse output wire from the harness. I started a thread on this a little bit ago. The abs fuse in the fuse box is labled "ABS ECU" and it does alot more than jsut control the abs.

The M55 is more of an onroad tire with some offroad traction ability. Seems to me that problem wouldn't likely happen with the Open County A/T or M/T. The Armada comes standard with VDC & ABLS so ppl who aren't used to it have this issue and the Traction Control Module from KP Tech seems to help them for the most part when used it remembers to leave the VDC Off for you. KP Technologies

IMHO, I think you're running on the wrong tires for driving in the dirt.

And now things get interesting. The cold PSI rating on these tires is 80. The shop set them at 60. Today the TPMS light went on just as I was thinking about upping the pressure a bit. Oh heah, the shop filled the tires with nitrogen. The VDC just seems to be soooo sensitive with these tires. I seem to have entered a black hole with this truck.

Anybody in the San Francisco Bay Area have a used set of 285/75/16's they'd like to sell cheap. I'd love to see if a simple swap of tires settles this issue.

I must admit, I have never heard of slip or VDC issues with a lift before....
