Feedback on coil lift.

I have the 2 1/2 coil lift from 4x4 parts and wanted some reviews before I installed them.

I assume you mean the AC coils that are extremely rough and really need to be broken in? If so, you defiently need a shop to install the coils on the shocks, they are just so stiff. You will notice a stiffer suspension which you may like or not, there are members on both sides of this debate.

Yes, they are the AC coils I bought them from another member who had them on his truck for a couple years. So maybe they won't be so bad. Any other feedback on these?

That means they are probably broken in and should be a lot better then if they were new. I would still suggest that you have a shop install the coils on the shocks and then you can do the rest.

I have a shop that is going to install them, I was just wanting to get some feedback on them before I had them installed.

yes they are pretty stiff but its because the shocks you have limit down travel and the coil being so stiff limits up travel , the radflo's with the 750lb spring rate are the same spring rate as a/c but the reason the radflo's work so well is cause the shock has the travel to work with the springs , i just took the ac coils off off my truck because you have like 1/2 of down travel and the ride sucks , unless u can find a longer shock which we havent been able to do id decide against it

pass side with ac coils , right side with radflo's , hope this helps

Does the ride suck in general or is it more when your off road?

pretty much both for me , think of it this way , with a spacer lift you still have the factory ride except the uca is closer to the coil bucket , with the ac springs you have a higher spring rate coil compressed to the point where u have no movement in the spring and shock which results in the stiffness everyone complains about

this is just my opinion but i didnt like them for ride quality at all

I've had mine on for about 6 months/5000 miles with stock shocks. No problems as far as stress on the shocks, but I don't offroad. I actually have to slow down at speed bumps now, which I don't really appreciate, but on the positive side you've got a firm ride going around corners and such. All in all, I'm thinking of replacing the setup with the calmini or fabtech lift, which is what I probably should have done to begin with but I was being cheap and didn't think I would get lift hungry again so soon!
