I can't believe that you people are actually considering buying from SLR after he accepted money on orders then BAILED and never returned phone calls or emails. I know MANY people on the Xterra boards that NEVER got refunded or their products ordered.

Don't get me wrong, I'm running a full 3" SLR suspension lift and SLR steering on my truck and I never had a problem with Spencer. His products were amazing in quality and design, but you paid a premium for it, and waited a very long time.
Sad to say but he will not get any more money from me after what he did to everyone.
I refuse to take that chance.

Read up on what he did to customers on other forums before giving up ANY money to him. Good products or not. It doesn't make a difference if you can't deliver them.

yeh i agree alot of the stuff he did wasn't cool on anymeans and im weary about his kits because of that issue but as for quality of the product i know where that stands. The customer service part i will need to be convinced of.

That's good to hear.
But I know many people that still haven't even gotten a return email.

And yes.. Since SLR started offering Xterra/Frontier parts they suffered from the same issues..
Amazing quality parts with SUPERB fabwork, but
Terrible customer service, extended lead times, no return calls, no notification of packages being sent, and customers being left in limbo on whether their orders were being filled or if the guy ran away with their money.

So like I said before.. Not knocking his products at all, but terrible customer service is something you can't easily recover from.

BE WARNED

I don't think it is Spencer selling the products, it is Justin who has acquired them, and is now selling them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The way I see it, regardless of Spencer being bad with money, which is what it all came down too. It was not an issue where he had made a crappy component, then wouldn't reimburse people when it failed. He simply took on too much at one time. It seems to me that if you are purchasing through Justin, or West Covina that they would ultimately be responsible for the transaction. This should ease a lot of peoples minds when it comes to purchasing an SLR product. His sh!t's expensive, but I am pretty sure you get what you pay for.

And just like Mustard said, the people that have been in contact with him have been slowly getting things straightened out.

Also why would boxed LCA prevent coil bucket dystruction? Thsoe two things are totally unrelated.
Where did you see/hear this? That is definitely NOT the case, if anything the added weight could cause more stress on the coilbuckets on impact. I am sure that it's not enough to notice at all really; but it definitely doesn't do sh!t for coilbuckets. There is a possibility that the shock angle allowing for a slightly larger coilover would help somewhat to save the coilbuckets; I know mustard's coilbuckets have held up fairly well given the abuse his truck see's...the bumps probably have something to do with that also

Just because some one is a fabracator, dosen't make them a good busnessman. People won't be buying things directly from him, you will have a middle man.
