Add another truck to the hoop army

That's right my truck is at allied, my truck will be 2nd in command in the shock hoop army with Nizmut being my CO, I will be the XO. I'm having the shock hoops and also an engine brace made. I will be getting the annoying lip machined off the spindle by Greg and also double sheared heim steering. My boxed lowers are also going to get urethane bushings installed that way down the line I can get them powder coated.

How is that 9" holding up, I have a bent axle shaft and housing so looks like I'm doing the rear sooner than later

The heim steering is a pretty simple "bolt-on" right? How much is he charging you for that?

The 9" is doing awesome I wish everybody could get one. But I guess you can't if you have an auto. Also the spool is not as bad as I thought it would be. I drive it daily on the street with no problems, just some kick a$$ tire eating chirps everytime I turn.

Yes the heim steering is for the most part bolt on including the steering clevis for the rack and pinion, the actual tie rod and the 4 heims. The additional tab for the double shear on the spindle is the only thing that needs to be welded. It should yield more travel since that was one of the limiting factors of droop when the suspension was cycled last time.

You can have the 9" in the auto, but good chance you won't have a speedometer. You will probably end up with a sh!t ton of other lights on the dash too. Manuals don't need the speed censors since you are physically putting it in specific gears. The auto uses the speed censors to determine when it needs to be in what gear.

so how hard are you beating on your trucks to need hoops? I mean the desert thing looks like an absolute blast but you guys seem like you break more than everyone else combined.

trees and rocks around here tend to keep things moving a lot slower.
