Claybar should take care of that. I had white overspray droplets all over my old red KC. I thought the paint would be damaged underneath it. Once I started claying the paint everything was fine on the clearcoat. I cleaned the whole truck including the glass with a claybar. Mine happened at work also. I took care of it myself though.

Agreed, When I had my bedliner put in my Ranger they got overspray over every part on the truck (1600 miles on the odo) they cleaned it a bit but I had to use a claybar to get it back to new. clay bars are fun.!

That's a fine looking chariot you have there.

thanks for the support. yes, i understand that claybar is probably the answer here, but what i dont have time to do is claybar my entire truck again. school and work are bad enough, then add a girlfriend and your time is totaly monopolized.

and when i say the entire truck, i literally mean the entire truck needs to be claybar'd. i will see how this plays out tomorrow, but what i need to know is,

will this adversely affect the paint/clearcoat while it's on there. it could be some time before they get around to okay'ing the repair.

Just do a little at a time until you get the whole truck done. It's hard to say what kind of damage if any will be done by staying on the clearcoat. I would rather remove it while it's freah rather than wait until it hardens. Just ask the girlfriend to yield a couple hours and you will pay them back later.

Nothing wrong with being whipped. If you had some wax on the paint, you are in better shape. It should come off that much easier.

Here's what my Cherry red metallic paint looked like before I clayed it.
