and next time a light coating of vasaline before hand, and it will wipe right off. and you can buy specifc spray products from Jegs or Summit that are not prone to easy access

WD-40, is an excellent cleaner. Most people use it to lubricate, but that is incorrect usage, as it is NOT a lubricator...it is a cleaner.
