Tuff Stuff is the best interior cleaner i've found. Safe on plastic, vinyl, cloth, carpet, it cleans it all; it's the only thing I use on the inside of my vehicles. As for protecting the plastic I wouldn't use armor-all it leave a sticky residue and looks dirty after a very short time, then you have to clean it all off and start over. I would recommend just using the tuff stuff, I've never used a protectant and I've never had any sun/UV damage.

I used Vinylex on the whole interior today, it really gives a nice shine, and it's good on tires, too.

Thanks for the ideas. I used some 401 and now want to protect it.

Meguires makes a plastic detailer meant to compete with Armor All. It works pretty good, much better than AA.

Can't remember what they call it though.
It smells like pine trees though.

I'll be honest I tried some protectant on mine and I really didn't like it. I just clean the dirt and dust off and leave it. There's something about the techture (spelling, I can't spell ) no matter what I try, it doesn't work for me. However as far as protectants go I'm a fan of black magic tire wet and interior protectant. Both have a nice smell to them also. The tire wet has a sort of cherry smell. The interior stuff sort of has a new car smell to it.

armor all from my experience has had a negative effect, causing discoloration and getting dirty to fast because it's somewhat sticky.

Buy yourself some microfiber cloths at Walmart or Pep boys. Wet one, ring it out and clean your interior. IMO, protectant looks like *** on modern texturized dashes and door panels, and it attracts dust. If you want protection, get window tint and use a windshield sunscreen.
