I have heard from many sources that some of that haze is caused by plastics used in the interior trim curing. Kind of makes sense because not everyone uses protectant on their dashboards but they will always get that haze anyway. I get it all the time and I never smoked. Microfiber towels are useful for many things including cleaning the exterior of your vehicle. They even have microfiber wash mitts.
